A must see clip for people who thought slavery was gone. This clip comes from the TED website, which I advise anyone who is into expanding their world view and gaining important insights into the coming years, to visit. Thanks
Wassup everybody, I got a new one for yall. This is a collaboration between me and my man Rav Money from North Carolina. By way of the wisdom of Benjamin Guy, we came together to lay down some good music. I hope yall like it as much as I do, and if you want to download it, please feel free. Of course share it as much as you can.
The song is called "Get It On", and you can listen to it or download it below. Thanks.
You may or may not know that I work closely with a not for profit organization called I Believe Inc. Their primary focus is on the needs of those with disabilities or the PC version people with "different abilities". The founder hosts a local access TV show called "I Believe TV" which can be seen on channel 34 Montclair, NJ, and also on the web at ibelieveinc.org
I was asked to update the intro sequence to the show for the 2010, and I have just completed work on it. If you live in Montclair, tune in to see the show, and if you don't get it in your area, request it through your town's local access network.
Thanks.
It is difficult not to be confused by the political process in this country, let alone the perception of our leaders' intentions and behavior , particularly as you see it narrated by major media outlets in the most sensational way.
I have been confused, not so much because of being naive about how things work, but that I was starting to lose translation of the everyday beefs that took place throughout 2009, particularly those that pointed all fingers at Obama as though he was in this by himself.
In 2008 I went out and voted for the first time in my life. I voted for Obama, who I thought was hugely capable of bringing some much needed intellectualism to the office. Some much needed stability to balance out 8 years of runaway politics.
Through much of the year I found myself confused and sometimes disappointed by Obama's performance, and felt myself slipping back into not caring about politics anymore and just giving up.
Now I can't say I've been convinced to return to the same level of hope that I had before, but after watching the Q&A with the republicans yesterday, I have to say I am on the road to recovery. I just hope that Obama sticks to this level of addressing the concerns and misconceptions of the public in going forward and that the words spoken there today, will have a positive and lasting effect on our leaders.
If you grew up listening to hip hop in the nineties you'll remember this gem from back then. It's what you would call a love song in the hoodest sense of the words love and song.
You can say what you want about the content of the song in the context of music these days, but this song has special meaning to so many people who used to listen to it. This is especially true if you lived in Jersey where Apache was from..
Unfortunately I got some bad news from my man Drift today. He told me Apache passed away a few days ago due to heart related issues. I wanted to first say R.I.P. Anthony "Apache" Peaks.
Drift came to my spot with the desire to record a song using Apache's "Gangsta Bitch" instrumental as his way of paying respect to the man who was his mentor for many years. He asked me to put it on my site to share it with others who felt the same about Apache as he did. Below is the link to the song. Thank you. Play song
