This song, entitled "Lil Birdie", is a special one for me. I made the track in February of 2009, and essentially it sat while awaiting the right artist and lyrics. That artist is O.D. O.D. is one of my main artists and a great writer who can go from the grimy street vibe to something like this without blinking. I am happy to finally have this one done and I would appreciate it if you passed this one along to who ever you think would like it as much as you do. THANKS!

SHOULD YOU RETURN - REMIX
Tuesday, 29 June 2010 03:57
Let me start off by saying that this isn't just another remix to me. Usually I find song to remix, i do it with the intention of attracting clients and such. However, this time, it was purely something I wanted to do out of admiration for the group Copeland. Believe it or not, my son put me up on some music, and the first song I heard from Copeland was this very song.
I cant tell you what an inspiration it was to listen to that song and furthermore, their album. To put it succinctly, Copeland renewed my appreciation for music. This might seem strange given that I'm a producer, but the truth is, I haven't been a fan of music in years. Don't get me wrong, I have heard many things that I liked over the years, but I have also been doing music from the perspective of a business and as a technician, so I was more about analyzing music than enjoying it.
The bottom line is Copeland's music touched me, and I am happy I got a chance to make my own vision of a great song.

What If the Tea Party Were Black?
Monday, 26 April 2010 19:04
Once again I had to bring attention to a great mind in the area of racism or racial relations in the U.S. This time Tim Wise has used his powers to shed some interesting light on the Tea Party Movement.
It goes without saying that much of the Tea Party members seem to be part of the fringe and if there are more level headed and rational people involved, you certainly don't know about them.
In general, these member of the Tea Party are the most vocal and in fact would not be getting any attention worth noting if it weren't for the fact that they reside on the fringe.
You get an assortment of complaints about the government and taxes and health care, etc., but almost no actual knowledge of policy or the workings of government. Not to mention, some of the most ridiculous hate/fear mongering I have ever seen.
In any case, when I try to discuss the racial aspect of this movement, I get dismissed as weak minded liberal that doesn't recognize patriotism and doesn't understand the movement. This is where Tim Wise steps in to give a helping hand.

Yes, you are reading correctly. we have revisited the classic by John Lennon. Star and DJ came to me with heavy enthusiasm for doing this piece, and at first I thought it was a strange selection. However I trusted the fellas knew what they're doing.
Sure enough it came out great and I am happy we did this. You can listen to the song
